Sale - My Favourite Word

It hits me hard, I hate seeing it, I feel obliged to enter wherever I see the sign, I just can not pass and walk away, I LOVE A SALE.COM

So my lovely Gap shoes.  I saw them weeks previously at £59.99 and with my 25% off still felt I couldn't justify them.  In I go when I see the sign and my heart skips a beat, now £29.99.  I try them on (again), then put them neatly back on the shelf and take photo's (?!?!?!).  Texting them to the shoe queen T who tells me to go back in for a size 5 for her and to get them so we can start a Yummy Mummy uniform!  2 hours later I go back (plenty on the shelf, don't worry, I wouldn't have taken that risk had there only been a few pairs!).  Trying them on again for a third time, I finally hand over my card.  A un-needed naughty buy they might be, but look at the saving!

PS they were in my fav magazine Look so it was meant to be.....

Some new Tops!

I thought it rude not to pay a visit to Gap with the 25% voucher the other week (which was promptly followed by a 30% one).  I was very strict with myself as find it an easy shop to grab lots of basics in and go a little over board.  Missing in my cupboard was a black jumper.  I found this light weight number, made up of cotton, nylon and elastane (originally £19.99 and now £12.99 in the sale........I was too eager obviously).  I always try and go for a high round neck as I feel this suits my smaller upper body rather than a v neck.

I took a risk on this one from Hollister.  Not in that it is a staple in my wardrobe colour wise (or not as the case may be, I love neutrals on top!) but that when I tried it on I had my new Next chino's not my low slung skinnies, and they finish a little higher up my waist.  None the less, it looked great so I thought at the very least I have one pair of trousers to wear with it.  I love the bow detail on the neck at the back and small stitched flowers.  It has been worn already for a family meal to the pub (hence the washed & 'un-ironed' look photo's!)  with my grey chino's of course!

£19.80 Hollister

PS Tan New Look sandals kept from post below!

Lounge Wear Lover

I have been searching for what seems like years for some comfy trackies to throw on when I get in and feel comfy in but if at all possible, also look slightly ok for when I have to open the door to someone and scare them with my lounge look.  After nearly parting with a large amount of pennies (yes, I admit it hubby, £40+ in Hollister was a lot just for the lounge), it was pointed out to me by him to 'just look at some actual sports tracksuit bottoms'.  Clever cloggs, no one likes a smarty pants.  So here they are, my £19.99 bargain from TK Maxx (Nike), I have literally worn them every day.

I did part with some cash in Hollister though, but at £19.80 (why so random a price?) I didn't think this was so bad.  Following on with my orange obsession an oh so comfy jumper, which too has been worn most days since purchasing.

I seem to be on a roll at the moment in the shopping stakes (now over as seen bank account) for things I've been hunting for for a while (trousers, joggers, hat), yet I am still stuck on the going out dress.  Why is the high street either disco tech or up class wine bar, I need in between!  Answers on a postcard please!

A little F&F (Florence & Fred!)

Who says you need loads of cash for a fab outfit?  Not me!  A little food for the family, a little cardi for me, £4,  BARGAIN!  100% cotton, when other shops only use 50% and mix with a man made fabric then charge double this price.  It was £14 but I doubled up a £5 clubcard voucher (free just for doing the necessary food shopping) so only had to part with four little pounds.  Great 3/4 sleeve, great colour (have a thing for coral  /orange at the moment), great chunky cable knit, great price, I salute you Tesco!

London Baby!

Forever 21 £7.40
A little bit of Audrey - My own!
Well Oxford Street was soooo hot!  But fun to have a walk around mid week minus huge crowds.  We didn't do so well with the choosing things for each other to try on.  I decided to shut my finger in the boot of my car and break it a few days earlier so save bashing it around, only serious contenders were tried on! T did really well in Forever 21, she has a enviable shape and the clothes seemed to be made for her long, slender legs.  I did manage to find a fab hat in there (was on my 'to buy' list from previous blog) for those bad hair day school runs.  I wore it the next day and got lots of compliments (which was nice considering my barnet was so greasy underneath!).  At £7.40 I thought this was a great price.

Zara £12.99
H&M £12.99

I also decided to up the quality stakes on my much loved long sleeved stripe Tee's.  My Primark ones have done me proud but as I have discovered my love of stripes appears not to be waning, I thought it was about time I tried out some made to last a little longer.  I opted for a Zara with 3/4 length sleeves in cream and navy and a H&M one in white and orange.  I liked the button detail on the H&M one especially.  Interesting discovery for me (I am a little simple at times) is that the thin stripes on me definitely are more smart/casual than just casual.  Thin stripes from now on in!

H&M £12.99
Whilst browsing H&M (the Regent Street one is HUGE!) I found a great every day Summer top which I have worn already.  This time though, the stripes were vertical, love a change!  I always keep tags on new purchases and hang on a special hook on the inside of my wardrobe, if they've not been worn in 2 weeks, it's a return (unless purchased in advance for a specific occasion).

No 'party frock' was found, same old 'when your looking for something you never find it'!  So that's still on my list to hunt down as my next night out is now 2 weeks away and I don't think the husband can cope with another wardrobe malfunction.
