M&S & My Fab Chubby Stick!

Just ordered this in the M&S sale, looks cute in the picture, I will let you know the outcome when it turns up. I will obviously be wearing a little more underneath it!

Love my Clinique chubby stick in Watermelon. Looks very pink on the outside, but is a great shear colour. So easy to put on in a hurry and very moisturising.

My Rushed Outfit!

So I had my first outing the other night post baby and had only 20 minutes to look half decent! Planned the outfit whilst feeding so threw on leggings, tunic, cropped leather jacket and boots combo but the make-up needed a little more work. Having had just pressed powder on in the day, I used my Bare Minerals over the top (no time to strip and start from scratch) and it worked a treat! Neutral eyes and then I used my Chanel lip liner as wanted a bit more colour on the face, but felt my lippy was too bright for the occasion (a school mum had invited me to a little village fashion show to raise funds for the pre-school). Not sure where the brain wave came from (very infrequent these days!) but I put some lippy on my hand then next to it some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and used the lip brush on the end of the liner to mix and brush on my lips. It was subtle, glossy, not sticky and stayed put! Horrah for actually using the lip brush supplied with the liner (my Mum will be so proud!). There was also enough left on the brush for school run the next morning! A touch of my favourite Laura Mercier hand cream - no need for an over powering perfume for such an event and I was good to go. You really do get what you pay for, that hand cream just lingers, even after a hand wash. I just love it!

I have just purchased some of Marks & Spencers no VPL pants - lush! Brazilian cut are my favourite, more than a thong, less than a pant! Off to buy some more, at 3 for £10 they are not at all bad price wise. I fully recommend.

Tunic and grey top (just seen underneath) both H&M, Leggings - Topshop, Boots - Dune, Jacket - Miss Selfridge, Bag - Balenciaga

Spring Cleaning!

I don't know if it's the new life I've just bought into the world, the hint of Spring with all the lovely daffodils around or whether it's just time but I feel the need to have a really good clear out of the wardrobe. Out with the old and all of that. As most of my wardrobe has been in hibernation during my pregnancy, I want to wake it up, move it round and clear out the rubbish. I am going to be ruthless! I have already made a start and put 12 pairs of dusty old shoes in the car-boot pile! The more I clear out, the more I won't hear the words 'you don't need....' from my husband!

I have started making a few purchases. I'm not ready to invest in bottom half yet as PB (post baby!) am not ready, but grabbed this cute cardy from Laura Ashley of all places (popped in to furnish the kids rooms!.) It was £60, then marked down several times to £18 and 25% off everything the other week-end so £13.50 bargain! I know the karki colour may appear a little A/W (Autumn Winter) but the gold lurex wakes it up and I think with a nice crisp white Tee underneath I can get away with it for the coming months, black for now though!

Next on my shopping list is some hats for bad hair days on school runs. As it's been cold a nice wool hat has covered up my un-straightened messy hair, I need to find me a Spring/Summer alternative as with a baby to drag along too, even less of a chance to do my hair.

Popped into a Zara at the week-end - if I wasn't on maternity pay, I would say as much of my wage as possible would be spent in there at the moment. What a collection they have. Day/night/school runs, classic pieces, they have it all. Saving my pennies for a big splurge soon!
